Anxiety to Break to Everyday
My overwhelming insomnia and anxiety and corona shut-in went for so long without a break, it felt that no relief would come. Thank the Lord, that difficulties come in seasons and this one finally ended with a much needed anniversary vacation in Florida. Even on vacation, it took some time to settle my thoughts, accept the peace that comes only from God and truly enjoy the nature around me.
Now back to everyday and to keeping this peaceful state. I don’t know about you, but that is tough. My first tendency is to start worrying and fretting again over things I can’t control and situations that are overwhelming. Then I reflect on the fact that God's Presence is the same when I am on the beach as when I am back to stress and life as normal, and it brings comfort.
I must remember as I start back to normal that everyday comes with its challenges and everyday must be given to God including all of its stress and worries.
And here are a couple of verses that I go to that will help.
”I will love You, O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” ~ Psalms 18:1-2 NKJV
“The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?” ~ Psalms 27:1 NKJV
